In order to further inherit and promote the culture of imperial kiln ceramics, display the intangible cultural heritage skills of imperial kiln ceramics, and promote international cultural exchanges and cooperation, the Shenzhen Royal Kiln Cultural Center has joined forces with the Joint Innovation Center of China’s famous art schools, the Jingdezhen Royal Kiln Craft Museum and other institutions to The Imperial Kiln Ceramics Intangible Cultural Heritage Reproduction Exhibition and the Ceramics Annual Color International Cultural Seminar and Exchange Conference jointly hosted by the Royal Kiln Ceramics will be grandly opened at the Shenzhen Red Cube on August 20, 2024.
The Imperial Kiln Ceramics Reproduction Exhibition displays a total of 100 works that were reproduced one-to-one by the Jingdezheng Imperial Kiln Craft Museum and followed the traditional intangible cultural heritage techniques of the Imperial Kiln. The intangible inheritance of the Imperial Kiln Ceramics skills People Xiang Yuanhua expressed the hope that through this event, China's excellent traditional culture, inheritance and innovation can be further spread and promoted, and the Chinese story can be told through ceramics, a thousand-year cultural carrier. Through the international exchange of ceramic culture, the culture can be exported overseas and the world can “understand China”.
On the afternoon of the same day, the 2025 Ceramic Annual Color International Cultural Exchange Conference jointly planned by the Shenzhen Royal Kiln Cultural Center and the Joint Innovation Center of China’s famous art schools (eight major academies of fine arts) and the Jingdezhen Royal Kiln Craft Museum opened grandly. The purpose of this event is to unite experts and scholars from famous Chinese art schools to jointly discuss and plan the development direction of ceramic annual colors, and discuss and determine the 2025 ceramic annual colors.
The seminar and exchange meeting was hosted by Professor Lin Dong, Dean of the School of Arts and Crafts Design of Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts. Professor Lin Dong made a keynote speech on the "2025 Ceramic Color Development Trend and Innovation Seminar and Exchange Meeting". Experts and scholars attending the meeting discussed it from different angles. The Ceramics Color of the Year 2025 offers a different perspective.
Huang Hu, Chairman of the Hong Kong Light Industry Association and Director of the Shenzhen Royal Kiln Museum, believes that the launch of the Ceramic Color of the Year is a new move for ceramic culture and is also an issue of the right to speak of international ceramic culture. Since the launch of the 2024 Ceramic Color of the Year " Since "Dan Ji Hong", as an international cultural exchange activity, it has far-reaching influence and has been widely praised.
Professor Liu Xunli, head of the ceramic art major at Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts, director of the Ceramics and Glass Studio, and director of Jingdezhen Art Creation Center of Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts, gave a speech entitled "Development and Innovative Thinking of Ceramic Color of the Year under the Perspective of the New Era" , and proposed "Chang'an Green" as the ceramic color of the year in 2025; Professor Zhong Zhenhua, deputy director of the Ceramic Culture Center of Jingdezhen University, gave a speech on "Floating Orange" and suggested "Floating Orange" as the ceramic color of the year in 2025; Tsinghua University Xiang Yuanhua, director of Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Craft Museum, postgraduate application tutor of the School of Social Sciences, gave a speech on the theme of "Innovative Practice of Annual Color of Chinese Ceramics". Angle proposed “blue” as the ceramic color of the year in 2025;Dr. Tian Deyi, Director of Jingdezhen Haitian Art Museum, made a speech on "Participating in the World and Leading the Trend" and proposed "Chinese Yellow" as the ceramic color of the year in 2025; Zhang Xuelong, head of the Jingdezhen Art Creation Center of Hubei Academy of Fine Arts, believed that blue is worthy of being used as next year's ceramic color The Ceramic Color of the Year also raises the issue of whether the Ceramic Color of the Year is a primary color or a secondary color, and believes that color is also a kind of IP; Professor Liu Yingrui of Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts suggested that the annual popular color of ceramics should be chosen from cool colors; Jingdezhen Training Base of Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts The person in charge, Jin Zeyu, talked about his views from the perspective of emotional value and the issue of whether the color of the year for ceramics is a single color or a multiple color; Guo Yunqing, the head of the Joint Innovation Center of China's prestigious art schools, believes that the color of the year for ceramics is a cultural phenomenon and a way of life , and tend to believe that the ceramic color of the year in 2025 is full of vitality "green".
After multiple rounds of discussions and in-depth exchanges among experts, the experts and scholars present agreed that the seminar standardized the basic standards for the selection of future Ceramic Color of the Year, pointed out the direction for the internationalization of the future Ceramic Color of the Year, and unanimously agreed that the 2025 Ceramic Color of the Year The ceramic color of the year was clearly positioned as a series of colors such as "peacock blue, purple yellow, and green". Experts who proposed the proposal continued to improve and enrich their opinions. At the same time, colors and ceramic materials are combined to make utensils. After the meeting, the expert group will further solicit expert opinions and determine the 2025 ceramic color of the year before releasing it to the public.
Huang Hu, the person in charge of the organizing committee of this event, believes that through this annual ceramic color international cultural seminar and exchange, experts in the field of ceramic art and design will gather together to discuss and promote the innovation and development of ceramic colors. This is of great significance to enhancing the international influence and market competitiveness of ceramic art. These discussions have enhanced our understanding of the future development of ceramic colors and provided new ideas and directions for artistic creation and market applications. The successful holding of the Ceramics Annual Color Seminar not only brought a feast of color to the ceramic industry, but also pointed out the direction for the innovative development of the ceramic industry from an academic perspective.
